Britney Spears ‘Escapes’ to Costa Rica

Thanks to her good friend Mel Gibson, well-known maker of movies and drinker of rum, fallen star Britney Spears got a respite from her busy court schedule by taking a five-day holiday in May at Gibson’s hacienda on the northwestern Pacific’s Nicoya Peninsula.

The paparazzi had a field day, many landing their photos on the covers of Costa Rica’s daily newspapers.

For the record, this newspaper played the photo and story on Page 10.
