Banco Nacional Signs Agreement with Chinese Bank
One of Costa Rica’s largest banks has signed an agreement to work together with a Chinese counterpart.
Banco Nacional, a state bank, signed an agreement with the China Development Bank (CDB) last week that will “establish links of cooperation in various areas of common interest,” especially “cooperation, financing and sharing experiences,” according to a statement from Banco Nacional.
Bank head William Hayden signed the agreement with CDB Vice-President Liu Ke Gu last week during Costa Rica’s first diplomatic mission to China since forming diplomatic relations with the Asian giant in June (TT, June 8).
