Business School Gets New Rector

At an inauguration ceremony this evening, Arturo Condo will take over for Robert Artavia as rector of the Central American Institute of Business Administration (INCAE), a Harvard-affiliated university in La Garita de Alajuela, northwest of San José.

Artavia, the first INCAE graduate ever to serve as rector, has held the post since 1999, according to a statement from the school.

Condo, from Ecuador, is now the institute’s Dean of Faculty and of Master’s Programs, as well as director of INCAE’s Latin American Center for Competitivity and Sustainable Development (CLACDS), the statement said. He holds a Master of Business Administration from INCAE and a doctorate in business administration from the HarvardBusinessSchool.
