Panama Creates Protected Zone for Heritage Site
PANAMA CITY –The Panamanian National Assembly has approved legislation creating a protected zone around Old Panama City, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, officials said.
The legislation prohibits dredging and limits building heights in the buffer zone.
