Man Shot Himself, Took Taxi to Morgue

An 83-year-old man who had just found out he had a terminal disease shot himself in the stomach with a .38-caliber pistol in August, then took a taxi to the morgue, paid the driver, stumbled out of the cab and died a few meters from the morgue’s doorstep in San Joaquín de Heredia, north of San José.
