Hip-hop Comes to Eugene O’Neill Theater

THE University of Colorado-Boulder will be bringing a modern dance and hip-hop program to the Costa Rican-North American Cultural Center’s Eugene O’Neill Theater in San Pedro, east of San José, tonight at 7:30 p.m.Talented young choreographer and dancer Taryn Packheiser (www.tarynpackheiser.org) will be representing the U.S. university, while local hip-hop dance company La Zona will bust a move for Costa Rica.In addition to the show, Packheiser will offer master classes to students at Universidad Nacional in Heredia, north of San José, and at the Culture House in Cartago, east of the capital, during her one-week stay.General admission is ¢2,500 ($5.20); students and seniors pay ¢2,000 ($4.15).
