ART in the arcades: Las Arcadas, the national heritage structure at the Gran Hotel Costa Rica in downtown San José, is now home to a new café and art gallery, Café-Galería Las Arcadas. The gallery was inaugurated last month with an exhibit entitled “Peregrinación” (“Pilgrimage”), by Costa Rican artist Juan Carlos Camacho, shown above, at right, with the hotel’s general manager Erick Gutiérrez and his wife Miriam Cortés, special events manager.
