Auto Mercado Expands Locations
THE supermarket chain Auto Mercado has announced plans to open two new locations: one in the western San José suburb of Escazú, and the other in Playa Herradura on the Central Pacific coast.Javier Bouza, head of marketing for Auto Mercado, told The Tico Times that the company has already acquired the property for both locations and is in the process of getting the environmental and construction permits. Bouza said the company hopes to have both stores open by the middle of 2006.With the addition of these supermarkets, the Auto Mercado chain will have 10 locations countrywide
