5th Annual “Have a Heart” Golf Tournament Seeks Volunteers

EACH year on Valentine’s Day, the “Have aHeart” golf tournament raises money for schools inVillarreal, Santa Cruz, in the northwestern provinceof Guanacaste. All profits from the tournament aredirectly donated to the schools.This year, the tournament is asking for volunteersto assist with everything from player registrationand tournament setup to emceeing and DJing.Those interested in helping may contact SuzyeLawson at 653-0207, vialegre@racsa.co.cr, orIrene O’Malley at 653-0049, omalley@racsa.co.cr.The tournament will consist of four-personteams, with trophies awarded for first, second andthird place. The cost to enter is $99 per golfer andincludes golf, cart and awards luncheon.The pre-registration party is Saturday, Feb. 12,from 6-9 p.m., at Villa Alegre Bed & Breakfast inPlaya Langosta, Tamarindo. The golf tournamentwill take place Monday, Feb. 14, at the HaciendaPinilla Golf Course (680-3000), south of Tamarindo;tee-off time is 7:30 a.m.
