Organic Products Available at New Fair

CHEMICAL-FREE fruits and vegetables,natural plants and medicines, artworkand live music are among the itemsnow offered on a regular basis in the historicalcity of Santa Cruz, in the northwesternprovince of Guanacaste, at amonthly Organic Fair.The fair will be held the first Saturdayof every month, and feature workshops,videos and education materials on healthyliving, as well as demonstrations of solar energyequipment.The fair is being held as much to provideconsumers with organic products, asto provide producers of natural foods aplace to sell their goods, according to theSol de Vida Foundation. Organizers alsohope to create an exchange between consumersand producers who wish toimprove their quality of life.The fair – with upcoming dates onDec. 4, Jan. 8, 2005 (the second Sundaybecause of the New Year’s holiday) andFeb. 5, 2005 – will be held from 7 a.m. –1 p.m. at the Casa del Sol, next to thehigh school in Santa Bárbara de SantaCruz.
