Actor Mel Gibson selling his Costa Rican property

Controversial actor Mel Gibson is selling his 500-acre residence on the Nicoya Peninsula, in northwest Costa Rica. The beach-side property includes three homes, which overlook the ocean, among other niceties.

The recently-divorced actor won an Academy Award for the movie Braveheart, and was a top action start in the 1990s. But his roles decreased dramatically after making anti-Semitic comments during a drunk driving arrest in 2006. His new film “Get the Gringo” comes out later this year.
