Free or Low-Cost Vacation Activities Abound

School vacations are upon us! Parents looking for something to keep idle little hands busy will be happy to know that free or low-cost kids’ activities are being offered at a variety of locations through mid-July.

Examples include workshops such as “Painting Oxcarts on Canvas” and “Basic Karate” at the National Museum in San José; “Where Animals Live” and day and night hikes at the Simón Bolívar Zoo, also in the capital; “Kite Making” and “Textures in Nature” at San José’s Museum of Forms, Spaces and Sounds; and other workshops at San José’s Children’s Museum and the National Biodiversity Institute’s INBioparque in Heredia, north of the capital.

For schedules and info, see the Children section in the Calendar pages.
