Fear Factory to Rock San José Aug. 24

As part of its first Latin American tour, industrial rock and new metal band Fear Factory will rock Costa Rica in a concert scheduled for Aug. 24 at Discotheque Salsa 54 in downtown San José.

The Los Angeles band, famous for its hit “Bite the Hand that Bleeds,” from the soundtrack to the horror movie “Saw,” will play from 7 to 11 p.m. with local guest bands Insano, Días de Agonía and December’s Cold Winter, according to a press release from Destiny Recordings S.A.

The first 250 tickets purchased will be sold for ¢12,000 (approximately $23). After that, tickets will cost ¢13,000 ($25) or ¢14,000 ($27) at the door.

Tickets can be purchased at Insomnio music stores in downtown San José and Mall San Pedro; Subterranean Metal Shop in San José; Discos Cisma at Mall Internacional in the province of Alajuela, northwest of San José; and Conexión Skate ‘n’ Surf in the province of Cartago, east of the capital.

Fear Factory’s Latin American tour will also take them to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Quito, Ecuador, among other destinations, for a total of nine concerts.
