Soulwax to Mix it up Tomorrow in Zapote

Soulwax, the alternative rock dance band from Ghent, Belgium, led by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, will be performing in San José tomorrow. The duo will undoubtedly perform its style of “bastard pop” from its latest album, “Any Minute Now,” including singles “E Talking” and “NY Excuse.”

Other music sure to be included will be culled from Soulwax’s discography, which includes “Leave The Story Untold” (1996), “Much Against Everyone’s Advice” (1999), “Any Minute Now” (2004), “Nite Versions” (2005) and “Most of the Remixes…” (2007). The duo is also well known for producing a

great number of remixes.

The show, presented by 911 Groovy Radio, will kick off at 9 p.m. in the warehouse next to the PriceSmart in the southeastern district of Zapote. Tickets cost ¢12,000 ($22) at the door.

The Costa Rica concert caps off a world tour that included Europe, Japan, Australia and South America. The tour was captured with a single camera and will be featured in a soon to be released documentary, “Part of the Weekend Never Dies.”
