Rock Band Evolución About to Be Saluted

Rockers will gather in San José’s MorazánPark tomorrow from 1 to 10 p.m. for the third annual Rock en el Farolito festival, organized by the SpanishCulturalCenter and DMP Producciones.

This year’s event is dedicated to Costa Rican rock band Evolución, described by organizers as “one of the best artistic examples of uncompromising success and longevity” in the country.

Bands from throughout the isthmus, including Nicaragua’s Perrozompopo, Salvadoran band Pashpak, and Mabí and Filtro Medusa of Panama, will also play, lending a regional character to the event. Costa Rican bands Sin Paredes, Argos, Introvisión and Xpunkha are also on the program.

Admission is free. For more information, contact event producer Darren Mora at moralab2003@yahoo.co.uk.
