Long-time Chamber Union Head Steps Down

Samuel Yankelewitz, president of the Union of Private-Sector Chambers and Associations (UCCAEP), announced this week he is stepping down from his post after 11 years.

He made the announcement while introducing Finance Minister Guillermo Zúñiga’s presentation at an UCCAEP lunch Wednesday, held at the Hotel Corobicí in western San José (see separate story).

According to Yankelewitz, his desire to devote more time to his family, as well as his business interests, prompted his decision.
