Firestone To Employ 100 at New Plant

Firestone Industrial Products Company LLC announced Wednesday that it will open a new air spring plant east of San José.

The 11,500-square-meter plant will employ roughly 100 people to make air springs, a component of a suspension system, and Firestone’s Marsh Mellows brand of springs.

After signing a lease on a former Conair plant in Turrialba, the company is now awaiting government approval on permits for the manufacturing site.
