U.S. Embassy releases video welcoming Obama to Costa Rica

What do a Costa Rican folk ballad, large flocks of pigeons and a cardboard cutout of U.S. President Barack Obama have in common? They’re featured in a video posted on the U.S. Embassy’s YouTube page to welcome the president to Costa Rica.

The video’s intro features music from a local Costa Rican band played over scenic shots of San José. It then cuts to shots of Costa Ricans (and one Gringa from Chicago, Go Bulls!) welcoming a cardboard cutout of Obama to San José.

No word yet on if Obama’s planning on watching it.
