President Chinchilla’s husband crashes car with suspended license

José María Rico, President Laura Chinchilla’s husband, was taken to CIMA Hospital on Thursday after being involved in a three-car crash in Pozos, Santa Ana, southwest of San José.

The Red Cross said the crash occurred at 10 a.m., and the 77-year-old Rico is in stable condition.

According to Telenoticias Channel 7, Rico was driving with a license that had been suspended since 2009.
