North American caught with 130 marijuana plants faces trial

The judicial court of San Carlos on Wednesday sentenced a North American resident to three months of preventive prison for possession of 130 marijuana plants. The man, whose last name is Wood, was arrested in his home in San Humberto de Los Chiles in the Alajuela province.

According to a press statement from the San Carlos judicial court, Wood was found in possession of a 2-kilogram bag of marijuana, which was thought to be prepared for potential distribution. Wood was reported to the National Police by his neighbors.
