Costa Rica’s Hanna Gabriel drops U.S.´s Perez in seven rounds
Costa Rica’s Hanna Gabriel knocked out U.S. pugilist Melisenda Perez in the seventh round to maintain her World Boxing Organization title. The Jr. Middleweight champion pounded Perez in the new National Stadium in La Sabana, in west San José on Thursday night.
The knockout was declared at 1:18 in the seventh, as Gabriel remained undefeated with a record of 12-0-1 with eight knockouts. Perez’s record dropped to 7-5-1.
