Popular Nightclub El Tobogán to Close on Sunday

The popular dance club El Tobogán will close its doors this weekend, offering its last dance Sunday afternoon.

It’s long been a favorite spot for salsa dancers and, despite having a dance floor the size of a football field, usually fills up on weekends. Featured in most tour books for attracting some of the best dancers in the region, the dance hall has long been listed among the top five in the country.

When The Tico Times called to confirm the news, employees who answered the phone could not say why management decided to close.
