Villa Blanca Hotel Hosts INBio Research Station

The National Biodiversity Institute (INBio) has opened the country’s first research center at a hotel.

Hotel Villa Blanca, part of the Green Hotels chain, is now home to a biological research station where scientists will study the area’s biodiversity.

The hotel is located at the edge of the Los Angeles Private Biological reserve, a cloud forest in the canton of San Ramón, northwest of San José.

The hotel and INBio last week signed a joint agreement inaugurating the research station and outlining various research projects.
