Country to Host Summit Of Presidency Ministers

Costa Rica is preparing to host the Sixth Summit of Latin American-Iberian presidency ministers Aug. 29-31, according to the office of Costa Rican Presidency Minister Ro- drigo Arias, brother of President Oscar Arias.

Representatives of 10 countries have so far confirmed their assistance.

The theme of the conference will be “social cohesion and policies to create inclusive societies in Latin America.”

Minister Arias said the meeting is important for the region because “the recommendations we make will be the base of an agenda for an upcoming summit” in Santiago, Chile, in November, with the Presidents of these countries.
