Man Bought Plot Inside Municipal Parking Lot

Costa Rican businessman Guillermo Sanabria was shocked in October when he found out that a 150-square-meter lot he bought for $50,000 is in fact part of the parking lot of the Municipality of San José headquarters.

The municipality’s legal advisor said the lot was not registered in the municipality’s name because of an administrative error, and that the local government planned to appeal Sanabria’s purchase.
