Assembly Debated Reforms To Prohibit Marriage Under 15
The Legislative Assembly this year debated a bill that would prohibit Costa Ricans younger than 15 years old from marrying. Now, children can marry with their parents’ permission. The Commission on Youth, Childhood and Adolescence voted to send the bill to the assembly floor in November.
