Soulful Diva Trio to Team Up at Jazz Café

Three funky women are set to join forces in what promises to be a soulful, bluesy, jazzed-up concert event Oct. 4 at Jazz Café, in the eastern San José suburb of San Pedro.

Swedish-Ecuadorian Tamela Hedström, Tica Shirley Ortiz and North American Fuzzy Rojas will team up for the first time to interpret hits by Aretha Franklin,Mariah Carey, Beyoncé Knowles, Toni Braxton, Janet Jackson and other powerhouse artists, as well as some of their own material.

Costa Rican rapper Dan Robinson will appear as a special guest artist.

The show is set to start at 10 p.m. Admission is ¢2,500 ($4.80). For reservations and information, call the Jazz Café at 253-8933 after 2:30 p.m.
