Cars Take Center Stage At Expomóvil Show

More than 50 vehicle brands, sold by 36 distributors, are on display at Expomóvil 2006, the largest car show in the country.

The goal of the show, which began March 17 and ends Sunday, is to sell more than 1,500 new and used vehicles. Banco de Costa Rica, Banex, Banco Cuscatlán and Scotiabank are also offering participants financing options.

The Association of Vehicle and Machinery Importers organized the show, now in its 10th year. It is taking place near the Bridgestone-Firestone factory northwest of San José. Visitors 12 and older must pay an entrance fee of ¢1,500 (approximately $3).
