Christmas Concert Tonight and Sunday

OPERA arias will be combined with traditional Christmas music today and Sunday in a colorful production suitable for the whole family, as 180 artists, including sopranos Anayanci Quirós and Fabiana Bravo, tenor Ernesto Rodríguez and baritone Fitzgerald Ramos, put on the Festival de Navidad gala Christmas concert at San José’s Melico Salazar Theater, under the direction of guest conductor Hal France, artistic director and principal conductor of Opera Omaha in the United States.

 

Performances are scheduled for tonight at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets cost ¢1,000-5,000 ($2-10) and are available at the theater box office (257-6005).
