FOREIGN residents of Costa Rica cannow renew their residency cards (cédulas)Thursdays and Fridays without an appointment.The Immigration Department willattend to 300 people each day, and stepswill be taken to prohibit buying and sellingspots in line, which has been known to happenat the department, according to a statementfrom the Ministry of Public Securityand the Interior.People wishing to renew their residencymust bring their cédula and proof theyhave made the necessary payments.
