Nature Air Offers New Flight to La Fortuna

NATURE Air, which offers flightsfrom San José to destinations aroundCosta Rica, in addition to two internationalflights to Nicaragua and Panama, hasinaugurated a new route to La Fortuna,the town in the country’s Northern Zonethat is the principal base for tourists visitingnearby Arenal Volcano and other destinations.The first Nature Air flight to theTanque airstrip outside La Fortuna tookplace yesterday.The new flight, in a Twin-Otter 19-seater – the largest plane used for CostaRican domestic flights, according to astatement from Nature Air – takes approximately25 minutes to traverse the 191kilometers to its destination.Flights depart from the TobíasBolaños Airport in the western San Josésuburb of Pavas daily at 11:40 a.m.,arriving in La Fortuna at 12:10 p.m. Thereturn flight to San José departs at 12:20p.m.The airline’s other destinations includevarious towns on both coasts, the northwesterncity of Liberia, Granada,Nicaragua, and Bocas del Toro, Panama.For more information, visit the airline’sWeb site, www.natureair.com.
