Lincoln School Celebrates 60 Years, New Campus

MARCH 10 marked an historicmoment in the long history of LincolnSchool, a bilingual school that has beeneducating pre-kindergarten through K-12 students in the northeastern SanJosé suburb of Moravia for 60 years.After nearly 15 years of planning,the general assembly of associatesapproved the Lincoln School NewCampus Project. In the months tocome, the school will break groundand begin construction of its new campusin Barrio El Socorro, SantoDomingo de Heredia, north of SanJosé. The school’s approximately1,150 students expect to start classesat their new campus in August 2006.A 60-year anniversary celebrationwill be held tomorrow at the school’sMoravia campus, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.All students, parents, alumni, formerteachers and friends are invited toattend the event, which will celebratethe school’s impending move to thenew campus.
