Located on the northern most Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, in the fishing village of Barra del Colorado, the Tarpon Land Lodge offers you an opportunity to experience something that is hard to find anywhere. There are no cars or trucks in our piece of paradise, just nature. Boats are our primary means of transportation.We do have a proper paved certified airport in front of the lodge but you will need to charter a plane to get here that way.Barra del Colorado is surrounded by forest, rivers and waterways, with the beach a 5 minute walk away.Here, you are more likely to see a manatee or a sloth than another tourist when exploring the adjacent national parks and protected areas. In addition to the natural surroundings Barra is on many sportfisherman’s “wish list.”Our accommodations have a/c and satellite TV and wifi. They are comfortable but are not designed for more than that. Most of our guests prefer to sit in our open air dining area and talk with those in what is basically the “village square.”We are also very proud of our authentic Caribbean food, made fresh for every meal.
