A decrease in the price of gasoline was announced Wednesday by the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) and is expected to take effect next week.
“Super” gasoline will cost ₡723 ($1.42) per liter (a ₡20 decrease), and “plus” will cost ₡681 ($1.34) per liter (a ₡16 decrease) when published in the official newspaper La Gaceta.
Diesel prices, however, will increase ₡5, from ₡604 to ₡609 ($1.20).
The price adjustment comes by the automatic calculation system Aresep uses to average the monthly international price of oil with domestic prices.
In July, the regulatory agency approved two decreases in fuel prices.
