Say Happy Birthday, Eh! At Old-Fashioned Pig Roast

The Canadian Club of Costa Rica is organizing an old-fashioned pig roast to celebrate Canada’s 143rd birthday. While Canada Day is July 1, the event will be held Saturday, June 26, at the Zamora Estate in Santa Ana, southwest of San José. In addition to roast pig and mouthwatering side dishes, guests can enjoy the great view, live band, dancing, swimming pool, vineyards, fishing pond, birds, nature trails and kids’ activities.

Everyone is welcome. (No passport required!) Tickets must be purchased in advance before June 24 at the Association of Residents of Costa Rica office in Casa Canada (Av. 4, Ca. 40, 2233-8068) or at the Out of Bounds Hotel in Escazú (old road to Santa Ana, across from Taj Mahal restaurant, 2288-6762). The cost is ¢7,000 ($13) for Canadian Club members, ¢8,000 for nonmembers ($15) and ¢5,000 ($9) for kids. There will be a cash bar at the event.
