Ministries Unite to Create Safer Schools

REPRESENTATIVES of the ministriesof Education, Health and PublicSecurity have announced the developmentof a new program aimed at preventingviolence in schools.“Safe Schools, Safe Communities” isin the early stages of development. Theministries are working with the privateClínica Bíblica hospital and the AriasFoundation for Peace and HumanProgress to create a program for the preventionand management of violence.Schools that have had the most problemswith violence in recent history will be selectedfor the pilot program, Security MinisterRogelio Ramos said.
