For every new skill, you first have to get your feet wet – especially if you’re scuba diving. There are thousands of PADI-certified divers in Costa Rica, plus innumerable dive-masters and instructors. But there are so many others who want to dive, but they have no idea what the experience is like. How will they fare, breathing underwater for the first time, swimming along the ocean floor at a depth of 15 meters? Tico Times writer Robert Isenberg took the plunge near Playa Flamingo, Guanacaste.
