Costa Rica is proceeding with its third phase of economic reopening, further easing restrictions that were meant to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT) has proposed that the government welcome visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom, followed by Canada.Â
Costa Rica's plans appear to directly implicate tourism from the United States. The North American country has tallied more than 2.2 million coronavirus cases with nearly 120,000 deaths, according to the World Health Organization.
The Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) thanked the Legislative Assembly for their work on the proposal and expressed their interest in its rapid approval.
