Costa Rica’s Tourism Ministry and PANIAMOR Foundation on Wednesday disclosed the first results of an online strategy to fight Costa Rica’s image as a child sex tourism destination.

The airline will offer two weekly flights between Toronto and San José and four between Calgary and Liberia.

Two new charter flights from the U.S. to Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste are scheduled to start next year.

New flights will connect Costa Rica's international terminals in San José and Liberia to Boston, St. Louis and Mexico City.

The U.S. carrier will fly twice weekly to Costa Rica, both to Juan Santamaría and Daniel Oduber international airports.

Southwest Air will soon offer 22 weekly flights to Costa Rica's international airports in Guanacaste and Alajuela, outside San José.
