From July 15 to 26, there will be a Tamarindo Adventure Camp, sponsored by TIDE Academy and the Tamarindo Community Center. Kids will get a chance to surf, play soccer and tennis, do yoga and hang out on the beach. There will also be dancing and music, drama exercises, and a science exploratorium. The camp will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Bring sunscreen, surfboard, swimsuit and a change of clothes; lunch is available for purchase, as is water and snacks. Register via email at TIDEAcademy @gmail.com or call 8658-1171.
Over at Copacabana every Wednesday, you can hear live music with Interiorama. The sounds commence at 4:30 p.m. and continue through sunset.
Nick Holt is a fitness trainer here in Tamarindo who has been getting phenomenal results for his clients using functional training – body weight training focusing on movements rather than muscles. He gives personal and group training both on the beach and at Tamarindo Gym in one-hour sessions, the latter using the TRX suspension method.
Nick will also provide nutritional guidance. His certifications include TRX and FMS (functional movement screen), and he is in the process of getting a CSCS strength and conditioning accreditation. As an avid surfer, Nick can improve your ability to paddle and surf, and he offers surf lessons as well. After checking out his website at www.nickholtfitness.com, email him at email@example.com.
