The Annual Mckee Calendar and Agendas on sale now. Each month features an animal love and rescue story. The calendars are available at the Vet Clinic Plaza Boulevard, Pharmacy Sofia and the Library, all in Jacó. You can also order for delivery. Proceeds go to the animals in Garabito County. Jim and Martha Felhofer from the Falcon School are inviting you to the 2nd Annual Medieval Dinner sponsored by the FSCAT Education Foundation. Travel back in time with them for an evening of pageantry, frivolity, fine cuisine and magic. There is only one showing for this event on Monday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at the Marriott Herradura Hotel, and seating is limited. Funds raised will go to the FISCAT Education Foundation. Playa Hermosa has joined the surf tournament locales of Hawaii, California, and Puerto Rico in its selection by Volcom to become a Volcom Stone’s VQS Tour location. The grassroots, free-surfing championship is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8, and will feature five separate divisions: Squids (10 & under), Groms (13 & under), Juniors (16 & under), Girls (20 & under) and the Pro-Am (20 & under). 

Volcom Latin America representative Diego Ramírez will be in town with Volcom USA Team Riders and staff, who are hosting the contest in front of Vista Hermosa. Volcom will be giving away one of the biggest prizes ever in Costa Rica or Latin America. The junior winner will be live webcasted on the WCT Fiji event. Last year, Volcom had more than 3.9 million visits, 11 million page views and 1.2 million live viewers.
