Coco Capsule
Since starting this column two years ago, it’s been my intent to bring focus on events in Las Playas, as well as to inform about when stores, restaurants and services have opened up or closed down.
It is time to turn the tables and find out what readers are interested in, or would like to see in town. I’m asking for ideas as to what you would like to have happen here, saving you that trip to Liberia or the longer hauls to Santa Cruz, Nicoya or San José.
Send me your thoughts, and I’ll publish them in an upcoming piece. And if you send an idea of something I’m aware of, I’ll send back any information I have. If I still don’t know, I’ll run with that and find readers who do. In that way, we can truly make some Community Connections.
Paul Woodward, owner of the popular Woody’s Bar and Grill in downtown Coco, is working with Coco Animal Rescue and Education to host another Chili Cook-off. The cook-off is planned for Sept. 16 and details will be forthcoming. Mark your calendars now for what will be a busy weekend, with the Lions Club sponsored dinner the night before at Pices Restaruant.
