Flamingo/Potrero News
The music group Yerbabuena will play Marie’s Restaurant in Flamingo at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 27. This group has played a lot in Guanacaste, but this will only be their second appearance in our area. The sound is a fusion of Latino music, including Guanacasteco, flamenco, Cuban, cumbia and reggae, performed in English.
On behalf of the animals of Guanacaste and the newly formed nonprofit organization, AMIGOS, we would like to thank the local community for supporting the Charity Dog Show held Saturday, July 7, at Tierra Nativa. The fundraiser brought in $840, which will be distributed to local animal causes. Many thanks to the donors who offered raffle prizes as part of the event: You know who you are! Check out dog show photos here: www.facebook.com/pages/Tierras-Nativas/320589874665845.
On July 14, Paula performed Latin and American favorites at the Happy Snapper. On July 18, Mar y Sol Restaurant on the Northridge of Flamingo hosted an Italian all-you-can-eat buffet.
Just a reminder that organic meats can be ordered from Tony the German Butcher through the bakery of Cécile La Panadera Del Pueblo at 2654-6061. The store is located in the Village Commercial Center in Brasiltio.
