Costa Ballena Bulletin
On Saturday, July 14, local author Glori Beldorai will be at the Uvita Farmer’s Market selling her four most recent books at special prices. Come get your autographed copies of “The Prompting,” “Whole Sums for Conscious Living,” “Pura Vida,” and “The Simple Direct Path to Fifth Dimensional Consciousness.” While you’re in reading mode, drop by the D.A.W.G. Tales Lending Library on the second floor of Centro Veterinario Costa Ballena building to stock up. Proceeds from the library go to the dogs and cats.
After being closed to the public for four months, Caño Island has reopened. Unfortunately, the picnic areas and restrooms are not yet open. If you’d like to take a tour with MADaboutdiving, the tour provides lunch on the way home. More exciting news: Humpback whales are in the area again. For information, visit madaboutdivingcr.com.
Thanks to all who attended the Annual 4th of July Lifeguard Fundraiser, and to those who donated prizes, food, time and talent. It was a huge success and a great time was had by all. If you forgot to get your T-shirt, you can buy one at Roca Verde Restaurant and Hotel. Remember to continue to support the lifeguards, who keep our beaches safe.
Didn’t get around to visiting Azul Restaurant in its former location? You’re in luck. Scott Dinsmore’s no. 1 Tripadvisor.com-rated restaurant is reopening July 15. The move takes the restaurant to El Costillo on Calle Perezoso, just south of Ojochal. Contact Scott at scott@elcastillocr.com.
After your gastronomical indulgence, come get fit at the gym at Rincón de Uvita, which offers capoeira and belly dancing classes. For more info, call 2743-0561.
