Manuel Antonio / Quepos Tidings

May 22, 2012

Happy Memorial Day! Don’t forget to celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 28, at Papa’s Annual Pig Roast at Rancho Leon.

Byblos Resort and Casino has hours and events: Manuel Antonio sports enthusiasts can enjoy the Billfish Sport Bar at the Hotel Byblos for extended hours of 11 a.m.-1:00 a.m. Wed.-Sun., and 6 p.m.-1 a.m. Mon.-Tues. The bar recently added a huge new projection television to compliment the many flat-screen TVs in preparation for the 2012 Summer Olympics in July.

In addition to the established regular events, Monday and Fridays are now ladies nights, Thursdays are Latin dance nights and Robbie from Austin plays live music on Saturdays. Tuesdays now feature the live rhythm, blues, rock ‘n’ roll and the screaming guitar of BenJammin from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. The kitchen is open every night until midnight for popular pub food, sandwiches and snacks.

For rainy season: If you can’t make it out on a rainy night, The Bistro Restaurant offers express delivery of its full menu. For free delivery in the Manuel Antonio and Quepos areas, call 2777-0411 and avoid the rain. Wishing Anita Myketuk a wonderful trip in England. She is staying near Stonehenge and is having a wonderful time!
