Brad Watts started Quepoa Expeditions river rafting and sea kayaking tours in 2005. Known for its sterling safety record, and its intense river runs, Quepoa Expeditions has something for everyone.

Depending on the time of year, Quepoa Expeditions runs rivers that are classes III through V. Whether it be the Savegre, the Chorro (upper Naranjo), or Naranjo, it’s always a scenic adventure. Prices range from $65-$88 and a delicious lunch is included in some trips. They also have sea kayak and snorkel tours for those that love the ocean.

To book your trip, visit www.quepoaexpeditions.com or call 2777-0058 or 8367-0853.

Eric and Barb Youngquist, of Evanston, Illinois, are making their first visit to Costa Rica. As part of their tour of the country, they will be visiting Isla en el Cielo in Manuel Antonio from April 22-26. They are great friends of the property owners, Lee Addleman and Mary Pepper. Barb and Eric are avid animal and nature lovers as well as major Bruce Springsteen fans.

Remember we posted that our nearest movie theater was in Jacó? Well, we have good news. We have our own movie theater in Quepos! It is called 1st Stop. It is upstairs from Super Más, and has a 16-seat theater and a popcorn machine. They show four movies a day and have a white board right above

Super Más that tells what movies are playing. They are open from 10:30 a.m. until the last movie gets out between 10 and 11 p.m. The movies cost {2,000 ($4) for adults and {1,500 ($3) for kids under 12 years old. In the room outside of the theater there is a game room with four large-screen TVs. For more information, call them at 2777-7265.
