The 13th Annual Robert August Surf-n-Turf Charity Challenge was held March 29-April 1, and included fun events that raised funds for needy children. The weekend began with a party at the Vaquero Restaurant in Witch’s Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo, on Thursday, with dinner, a live band and a silent auction. Friday there was a surf contest at Lola’s in Playa Avellana combined with a silent, daytime auction and a cocktail dinner at the Diria Hotel.

On Saturday, the golf tournament kicked off at Hacienda Pinilla, and on Sunday, there was a catamaran cruise on the Marlin Del Rey in Tamarindo. The cruise ended with an awards ceremony at the Vaquero Restaurant, and all proceeds will go to CEPIA.
