Arenal Report

January 11, 2012

The Worldwide Missionary Church of Nuevo Arenal hosted an all-comers children’s Christmas party in the multipurpose activities center completed earlier this year. Party fun included decorating and eating Christmas cookies, making ornaments, coloring nativity scenes and taking part in an interactive reading of the Christmas story.

For the 50-plus children and their parents, the highlight of the festivities was the whacking and smacking of two piñatas, which disgorged a shower of candy and prizes that sent children scrambling for goodies.

A delicious dinner of Costa Rican favorites was prepared by ladies of the church under the guidance of Pastor Banero’s wife, Flory. Maria Fedgervery, Annie Welch, Barbie Yoder and Pastor John Bradley and wife Lyn all get high fives for their tireless efforts to bring the spirit of Christmas to so many.
