Tamarindo Talk

November 9, 2011

Those looking for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 24 will find exactly what they want at the Best Western Tamarindo Vista Villas. The Crazy Monkey Bar and Restaurant will be serving turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings for $20 per person.

Also, Hola! Rent a Car has opened up shop at the Best Western, giving the franchise a Tamarindo location after a long time away.

In the old location of the Mirador restaurant, on top of the Super Compro building, diners will now find La Dolce Vita restaurant, offering Italian cuisine and one of the best views in town.

A lot of construction has been going on at the site of Hotel Pasatiempo. That’s because Helene Jany and Sean Davis have taken the place over and are refurbishing it to reopen with a flourish, with a new hotel, bar and restaurant, and maybe even the famous Tuesday open-mike night.

Warning: Two local dogs have been attacked by crocodiles in the Tamarindo estuary recently, causing dismay and panic among local pet owners.
