Lots of Halloween parties are being announced in the Central Pacific. Oz Bar and Hotel’s Halloween bash is set for Saturday, Oct. 29, on Calle Central, and Backyard’s Halloween party out in Playa Hermosa will be on Oct. 31. The Backyard now has its new Bottle VIP Lounge open on Wednesdays. Both events will feature local live music by the Chupacabras.
Check out the Jacó Rays playing Sunday against Saprissa de Corazón at the soccer field in front of the municipality. And don’t forget: Today is the last day to register for the water leg of the Eco Cup triathlon Oct. 15 in Herradura. To register, go to www.aguasabiertas.com.
A beach cleanup is scheduled for Oct. 28 beginning at the Best Western in Jacó. For more information on how to help keep our beaches clean, contact Gabriela Arias at the Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce at 2643-2853.
